A Confession
Can I be honest? I rarely send anything home. I don't send something to every student I see. I will send a packet home if the parent requests it, or if I have concerns about the student losing what skills he had before the break. I find that some of my kids will actually progress over the summer if they just get a break. I think we work so hard on the sound during the year that when their brains get a break from working on it something clicks and they correct it on their own.Taking the Easy Way Out
For those students who receive a packet, I use LessonPix. Once I get my pictures in the tray, it takes all of about 10-15 minutes to get a packet together. For those sounds that I made packets for last year, it's just a matter of printing and putting in a folder or big envelope.![]() |

I love LessonPix -- I use it all year long to make quick articulation sheets for my students. I love that I can customize the sheets to the needs of individual students.
ReplyDeleteI can totally understand not sending much home during the summer and if you do, trying to keep the packets smaller and easy to put together. Summer is short and busy too and so summer homework carryover packets should be fun and easy to do and especially not long! :) Have a nice summer and thank you for the post and great reminder about LessonPix.
ReplyDeleteThis is a topic which is near to my heart...
ReplyDeleteCheers! Where are your contact details though?
Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book
ReplyDeletein it or something. I think that you can do with a few pics to
drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great
blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.
My partner and I stumbled over here different web page and thought I
ReplyDeletemight as well check things out. I like what I
see so now i'm following you. Look forward to checking out
your web page yet again.
Right here is the right web site for everyone who
ReplyDeletewants to understand this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will
need to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on a topic that has been discussed
for ages. Great stuff, just excellent!
Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you're
ReplyDeleteworking with? I'm going to start my own blog in the near future
but I'm having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs
and I'm looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
I use Blogger.
DeleteNo matter if some one searches for his required thing, thus he/she needs to be available that
ReplyDeletein detail, therefore that thing is maintained
over here.

I visited various web pages but the audio feature for audio songs existing at this
ReplyDeletesite is truly superb.
Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my
ReplyDeleteiphone and tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just
so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views.
I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
